Entertain each other

Sometimes shopping with little people can be so exhausting. But every once in a while you get some great moments. Jaycie, Nathan, and Ethan all entertained each other while we shopped. Great!

Guys Guy

Ethan is totally a boy. He loves helping Daddy with everything. EVERYTHING. Jeff recently dropped all of the "TV" lines behind the wall and put in jacks so there would be no wires showing with the TV hanging on the wall. Ethan had to help. His drill wasn't quite manly enough so he kept trying to borrow Daddy's.

Easter

Easter was great this year. What a fun day. Ethan LOVED his Easter basket. He got four from various people and loved each one of them. It's been a month but he STILL carries around Easter eggs. He loves those things!

My sister and her family, my mom and sister Sarah all came for dinner. We exchanged Easter baskets and then had a Wii tournament. What a great afternoon!

The neighborhood Stunt Man

Sometime during Ethan's birthday party, everyone went to swing. There was a lot of fun in seeing who could swing the highest, watching Dan and Becca Martin swing while holding hands and watching the little kids swing. (or watching the grown ups push them!)

But I think one of the best moments of the day was watching our local neighborhood stunt man. Yes indeed, it was a sight to watch. I give him two thumbs up! Or at least an A+ for effort. :)

We love you Dan!

Birthday

Happy Birthday to my dear boy. We celebrated Ethan's birthday at the park with a few friends. Of course we had to have an Elmo themed party since E loves Elmo so much. What a great time. Twila, AKA - Twink L. Toes - is a hair dresser at mom's salon. She came for a little while and most of the kids really didn't care so much about her. She wanted to do balloon animals for them but was afraid they would blow away with our tornado like weather. Wow was it windy! But we had so much fun playing at the park. The cake was fun and messy. Ethan loved the little toys that came on it. When it came time to open the presents, each friend that brought a gift helped Ethan open the gift. It was so cute! Ethan was grateful I think because he was SO tired by the end of the party. Thank you to everyone that came!

Your mom and dad love you so much! We are so blessed to have you in our lives!!! You are an amazing and sweet little boy who bring us an unmeasurable amount of joy!

The box

We have a very long fireplace. It has been a real concern with Ethan crawling and learning to walk. So we built a "bench" of sorts around the brick. Jeff made the wood and then I padded and covered it. The padding came in a huge box. Ethan and Daddy had a blast playing in the box.

Dad stuffed himself in the box and would poke his hand out. Ethan would attempt to open the box and Dad would pop it open and surprise him. It was so funny to watch Ethan be surprised, EVERYTIME.

Good thing Dad is flexible!

Bordem

It always amazes me how bored I get when I'm not doing something or being entertained. This past week has been a really long/hard week. I spent the majority of the week in the hospital with my mom and then she stayed the weekend at our house after she was out of the hospital. Monday I took her to the Dr. Poor little Ethan was about sick and tired of hospitals, waiting rooms, and having to be quiet. In an attempt to entertain him and keep him busy, my mom and I had a blast with him letting him wear her glasses. We laughed and laughed at how funny he looked. We didn't get the great shots, but it was fun still the same.

He reminds me of Ralph in the movie "The Christmas Story"
John Lennon look

Oh the lengths we will go to not be bored.
